Metro Manila is one of the largest and most densely populated cities in the world. It is estimated that 35% of more the 20 million inhabitants of the city are living in slum areas with limited access to sanitation, healthcare and education.
Ulingan community in Malabon is one of the poorest. It is located on the border of a garbage mountain once known as “The Smokey Mountain”, a slum officially closed in the early 90’.
